About Sheila

Therapeutic, Myofascial, Pre/Postnatal, Sports and Relaxation Massage. Hatha, Flow, Yin & Restorative Yoga with a focus on postural alignment, biomechanics and mindfulness. Essential Oils.

I like making a difference in the health and wellbeing of others. I want to envoke inspiration and happiness in my clients.

I started teaching in 2010 after completing a yoga instructor progam in Carefree, Arizona.

My first yoga instructor training was in 2010 (I became a dedicated student in 1999). Since I have completed two additional teacher trainings and a 2-year (2,200 hour) therapeutic massage program. I was an instructor at a large successful yoga studio for 7 years prior to my move from Calgary, Alberta to Solana Beach, California to become a mother and rebuild my business. I live my practice and am passionate about yoga, massage, living pain-free and from a place of clarity and empowerment.

About the lesson

Consultation, assessment, objective setting, lesson planning, lessons, reassessment, evaluation, and the process continues...

I have taught at several public yoga studios, both quiet and exteremally busy with classes ranging from 1 student to 45 on a regular basis. I love the ability to work with students on an individual basis in the small classes, and the vibrancy and collective energy of a large class. I was also an in-house yoga instructor for a chiropractic practice working with students with limited mobility. I have instructed yoga to athletes at a university and bussness professionals in a corporate setting. I meet students where they are at in the moment with playful encouragemet.

Have a consultation with your prospective teacher. Ask questions, mutually create objectives and decide if the person has the right attitude and personality for you to learn from. Are you inspired by this person?

I recently went to the 108 Wanderlust Yoga Event at Liberty Station. It was fun, I brought my 13 month old son and we did yoga together.
