About Simon
Hello! I am a passionate math tutor with 8 years of experience and I'm offering tutoring for ALL high school and undergraduate pure math courses. My qualifications include a B.Sc. Honors Specialization in Mathematics with distinction from Western University, a Master of Mathematics in pure math from the University of Waterloo, an Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award from the University of Waterloo, and 8 years of tutoring experience including working for York Region Tutoring and working at the tutorial center while being a master's student. I love tutoring because it's a great opportunity for me to share my passion for math with others and help them achieve their academic goals. Knowing that I helped improve someone's confidence, outlook, or proficiency at my favourite subject is a great feeling and I work really hard to always make that a reality.

I conduct sessions online via Google meet using a drawing tablet for a professional, seamless, online learning experience. I am very patient and pride myself in creating a stress free and judgement free environment for my students. During a lesson I frequently ask questions to gauge your understanding of the material while keeping the vibe friendly and conversational. I also make sure to keep you engaged while teaching to make learning as effortless as possible. My lessons are usually fun and laid back, but I am always ready to crack down and get serious to prepare you for tomorrow's test. Often in math there are many ways of explaining concepts and I am confident I can find the one that works for you so that the course material makes sense.
