About Duarte
I am a doctoral student in theoretical physics at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon and affiliated with the Center for Theoretical and Computational Physics of the UL and the Laboratory of Instrumentation and Experimental Particles Physics (LIP). It's the first time I'm giving explanations to anyone other than my younger cousins (which I must say, worked out very well!) but I am super motivated and I am sure everything will work out for the best. I am giving these explanations because I will start teaching at FCUL next year and I want to gain more experience.

Hi, I'm from Porto and I'm doing my PhD in theoretical physics at FCUL. I intend to give explanations to secondary students (in mathematics, physics, physics and chemistry and / or English) and / or undergraduate courses (calculus, linear algebra, numerical methods, programming, mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, etc.). customize the explanations in a way that works best for the student, eg, the student can propose a method or one can try different ways to maximize the learning curve. Normally, what works best is to review the basic theoretical concepts, minimizing the helps or tips in the exercises to push the student on the right way autonomously. I am a very cool and organized person, always trying to motivate the students in a constructive way. The explanations will be given in an informal setting, and always with a guitar and chocolate cookies on the side to relax in the right moments. :) The first class is free!
