We talk a lot, plainly and honestly, about real life, since I've found genuine conversation about ordinary things builds confidence faster than rehearsed, artificial classroom dialogue ever manages. I keep corrections gentle but honest, pointing out clearly what needs fixing without dressing it up unnecessarily or making a bigger deal of it than needed.
