About Hamsa

I’m a level 2 badminton coach and have recently completed the badminton coordinator course. I have played badminton at a competitive level since I was 11 years old in Denmark and have taken part in various tournaments. Currently running coaching sessions in Walton on thames, Sunbury on thames, Hampton and feltham areas.

About the lesson

I enjoy teaching badminton to ladies and kids one to one and in a group. My way of coaching is firstly to breakdown the theory into footwork, racquet handing , body position/movement and the reasoning behind such movements will help coachee to understand why we are doing the way it’s demonstrated.

Secondly I focus on instilling those movements/racquet handing and footwork into the coachee (activating the muscles) and getting them used to such movements.

Finally repetitive movement through shuttle feeding to practise hitting the shuttle correctly and then get coachee placed into a game to gauge the application of the learning into the game under pressure.

I believe the repetition of practising is the key to gaining confidence in applying the learnings in a real game.
