About Misty
I’m a fifth-year JCU medical student who has experienced the medical school application process across multiple universities, including offers from the University of Tasmania, Griffith University, University of the Sunshine Coast, and JCU. Going through different selection systems gave me a clear understanding of how varied and often confusing the process can be, from interviews to written applications and differing assessment criteria.
With five years tutoring experience under my belt and having gone through the process myself I understand the stress of trying to present yourself in the right way while managing academic pressure and uncertainty about what each university is looking for. Having navigated these pathways myself, I’m well versed in multiple application and interview processes and what makes candidates stand out across different formats.
I want to teach because I know how valuable clear guidance and honest feedback would have been when I was applying. My goal is to make the process feel more structured and less overwhelming, helping students approach their applications and interviews with clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of direction.

I focus on making medical school entry preparation structured, strategic, and confidence-building. I can support both MMI and non-MMI interview formats, including JCU-specific interview preparation tailored to what panels are assessing. I also assist with general application writing for medical schools that require written submissions or portfolios.
Support can be tailored to your needs, whether that’s interview preparation, application editing, or a combination of both, with more focused application-only editing available as a subsidised rate standalone option.
I have gained entry into multiple medical programs, including the University of Tasmania, Griffith University, University of the Sunshine Coast, and JCU, giving me insight into different selection processes and expectations. My approach is highly personalised, helping students refine their responses, strengthen their applications, and perform confidently under pressure with clarity and authenticity.
