As work required a lot of travel to China, I thought it would be prudent to learn some Mandarin. Unfortunately it turns out I should have been taking Cantonese lessons. Oh well it’s still been a great learning experience. Zu is very patient and fun to learn with.

Zuyi helped teach me Mandarin phrases to help communicate with some of my students. She catered the lessons to what I needed. It has helped greatly with my day-to-day in the classroom.

Zu was an excellent tutor! She has been great at breaking down difficult grammar into more easily understandable patterns, then providing organic examples of how they can be used. I felt comfortable chatting with her to practice my conversational Chinese and I never felt embarrassed when I made a mistake.
