About Anna

I am a Fine Arts graduate from Northwest College with a strong background in drawing and painting. Before studying in the United States, I completed formal art school training in Turkmenistan, where I built a solid foundation in traditional academic art from an early age.

I also have experience tutoring drawing and painting to children in my home country, Turkmenistan. This helped me develop patience, communication skills, and the ability to explain artistic concepts in a simple and engaging way for younger students.

Over the years, I have developed experience working with different artistic techniques, including sketching, painting, composition, and color theory. My goal as a tutor is to help students build both technical skills and creative confidence in a supportive and structured way.

I am patient, attentive, and focused on adapting my teaching style to each student’s needs and learning pace. Whether working with beginners or young students, I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable experimenting, improving, and expressing their ideas through art.

I believe that consistent practice and encouragement are key to artistic growth, and I guide my students step by step while also encouraging independent creativity. My international training and academic background allow me to combine classical techniques with a modern approach to art education.

I look forward to helping students discover their artistic potential and develop strong drawing and painting skills in a structured but inspiring way.

About the lesson

My approach as a tutor is to make art enjoyable, creative, and encouraging while also teaching strong technical skills. I adapt my lessons to each student’s level and goals, whether they are complete beginners, children who want to explore creativity, or students who want to improve their artistic techniques.

In my lessons, I teach fundamentals such as sketching, proportions, shading, color theory, composition, painting techniques, and creative expression. I like to combine step-by-step guidance with personal creativity so students can build confidence while developing their own artistic style. I also believe patience and positive feedback are very important, especially for younger students.

A typical lesson usually begins with a short demonstration or explanation of a technique, followed by guided practice and creative exercises. Depending on the student’s level, we may work on pencil drawing, acrylic or watercolor painting, still life, character design, or observational drawing. I also give students small sketchbook homework assignments to help them practice consistently, develop creativity, and build confidence outside of lessons without feeling overwhelmed.

What sets me apart is my international art background. Before graduating from Northwest College with a Fine Arts major in the United States, I completed formal art school training in Turkmenistan focused on drawing and painting from a young age. This combination of classical training and modern creative education helps me teach both technique and creativity in a balanced way.

My lessons are mainly for elementary, middle school, and high school students, as well as beginners and hobby artists who want to improve their drawing or painting skills in a supportive environment.
