About Katherine
Hi!
My name is Katherine and I have been teaching, tutoring and mentoring for 3 years.
I have received A*A*A* in my A levels including Psychology, and have graduated from the University of Leicester with a High First-Class BSc in Applied Psychology. I have further received the highest grade for the Independent Dissertation Project across all cohorts within the School of Psychology (90%), so you can be sure there is no question that would be left unanswered in our lessons.
I strongly believe that achieving your desired grade is strongly related to exam technique, organisation and practice - which is why you will receive summary booklets of ALL topics you will cover during the year, plenty of exam practice and extensive feedback. But I also understand that everyone learns differently, which is why every lesson I deliver is entirely personalised to you and your needs. I have experience working with students who struggle with ADHD, ADD and Dyslexia, so please rest assured that we will find the best learning environment for your progress. From our 1 Hour lessons you will receive:
- Summary Booklets: ALL topics you will cover in Psychology in one place. Explained, summarised, with exemplar answers created by hand and personally used by me (no AI!).
- Completely Personalised Lesson Plans and PowerPoints: there is no ‘one size fits all’ in education - we will discuss your best learning style, challenges and exam technique to personalise each PowerPoint for you + you will be sent each PowerPoint from every lesson.
- Marking and Homework: as your tutor, I will be asking you to complete exercises aimed at improving your exam technique and testing your knowledge. These will be marked, returned and discussed in our lessons to help you improve.
- Monthly goals: we will set out clear and achievable goals to track your progress to help you achieve your desirable grade
