About Gustavo

My name is Gustavo, I am a history graduate and one of 7 children. As one of the oldest in my family, I have always been heavily involved in helping my siblings achieve their academic goals. I have the patience required to guide students towards their goals, and I know how to involve students in their subject rather than just lecturing them. At A-Level I achieved A*s in both English Literature and History, and as such I know what kind of approach is required to understand these subjects and achieve success.

About the lesson

While getting a handle on humanities subjects such as English and History can seem difficult, through my patient approach I can guide you towards getting a better grasp of your subject and seeing real results. Whether you're looking to bring your grade up to the next level or simply achieve a pass, I'm confident I can help.

I am a first-class graduate of a Russell Group University, King's College London. As such, my academic rigour is top notch. At A-Level, I achieved A*s in both History and English Literature. As a young person I have a strong grasp of the challenges of secondary school education and how to excel at both GCSE and A-Level. I also have 6 siblings whom I regularly help with GCSE and A-Level preparation, so I understand how to bring the best out of students on a 1-1 basis.

My approach is aimed to supplement the learning a student receives at school, according to their aims. Lasting an hour, I help the student understand what they struggle with, giving them constructive feedback and using teaching resources to enhance their learning. Most importantly, I do not aim to lecture the student, but instead to encourage active participation that actually makes the difference in their learning

My lessons are for English Literature at GCSE and A-Level, as well as History at GCSE and A-Level. Any level is welcome!
