About Larisa
I am Daniela, a First Class Psychology with Counselling graduate from the University of Greenwich. I am passionate about psychology, deeply curious about human behaviour, and genuinely committed to helping students not just pass their exams but also truly understand and connect with the subject.
I became a tutor because I believe every student deserves things explained in a way that actually makes sense to them. But more than that, I have been where you are. I know what it feels like to face a deadline with anxiety building, to feel like you're falling behind while everyone else seems to be coping. I dealt with panic, self-doubt, and overwhelming academic pressure, and I got through it by staying focused on my goals and building resilience day by day. I finished with a First Class degree not because it came easily, but because I refused to give up.
That experience makes me more than just a tutor. I understand the emotional side of studying. I create a space where you can be honest about where you're struggling, without judgement, without pressure, and at your own pace. Whether you're revising for exams, working through a challenging module, or staring at your dissertation not knowing where to begin, I am here to help you find your footing, build your confidence, and achieve what you are truly capable of.

My sessions are built around you — your pace, your learning style, and your specific needs. I don't follow a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, I take time to understand exactly where you are, what you're finding difficult, and what you want to achieve.
My Psychology with Counselling background means I bring more than subject knowledge. I understand how people learn, why certain concepts feel overwhelming, and how anxiety gets in the way of academic performance. I create a relaxed, non-judgemental space where there are no silly questions — only concepts that haven't been explained in the right way yet.
I use clear explanations, real-world examples, and guided practice — helping you develop your own understanding rather than just giving you answers. For research methods and SPSS, I take a step-by-step practical approach, working through your actual data together so you leave with real progress.
Sessions are typically one hour, flexible to your needs. All delivered online via Zoom or Microsoft Teams or if necessary, in person.
My sessions are suitable for:
