About Jorge
Before I started my full-time career as an actuary, I tutored math for about 8 years. I have never come across a student that I could not teach math to. I understand how bland math could be, but I make sure to keep lessons interesting and somehow relate to the student's interests.
Since being a professional, I have made many trainings on difficult subject matters and have presented courses in professional conferences. These experiences have helped me further understand important teaching methods and can use this knowledge to tailor a lesson specifically for each student.

I like to get to know the student at first, get to know what their hobbies and pastimes are, and what they hope to get from me as a tutor. A typical session involves going over past material that is difficult to grasp, tailoring a lesson that helps the student understand the subject matter, and reinforcing past lessons to ensure the student is ready for their next exam.
