About Barbra
"Spending 13 years navigating the Montreal and Toronto folk scenes has given me a deep appreciation for the mechanics of vocal production. I approach teaching by treating singing as a physical discipline that requires careful attention to breathing control and resonance.
Because I hold a Certificate in Music Business from Selkirk College, I understand the practical needs of vocalists who want to be ready for the stage. Having worked with 154 students who focus on pop, classical, and musical theater, I know how to adapt my methods to your specific goals. I provide free access to my breathing and warm-up exercise notes to keep you practicing correctly between sessions. Sometimes we even look at sight singing if that suits your musical journey. It is truly rewarding to see students find their range and power. You will find that regular practice creates a sense of joy and artistic freedom."
