About Tarung
Hello! My name is Tarung Bhimnathwala. I am a former actuarial analyst at Verisk Analytics. As an actuary, I analyzed client data with the goal of pricing insurance services. Before I worked at Verisk, I graduated from the University of Chicago with a Bachelors of Science in mathematics. In my studies, I focused on probability theory, geometry, and mathematical physics. Math and science are never just about doing computations and memorizing formulas. I believe that true understanding starts from the bottom up. Building intuition is key to enabling the application of concepts in problem-solving.
As a tutor, I will introduce the topic and illustrate with examples before allowing the student to demonstrate their proficiency by tackling questions on their own, while being on hand to help as needed.
