About Dr Puven

I am a very experienced lecturer of English as a Second Language and EAP/ESP (English for Academic Purposes/English for Specific Purposes) and I have written many resumes which have been successful in gaining me interviews for the jobs I was interested in. I have conducted seminars at universities on how to write resumes and I have done one-on-one coaching as well. I am also a researcher and I know how to access information that workplaces require from their employees. I am approachable, dedicated, committed and I conduct my services professionally .

About the lesson

My teaching approach involves discussion with the learner to guide them on writing a resume that meets the selection criteria of the employer. This includes finding out the strengths of the learner and doing collaborative researching the skills and knowledge required by the employer and guiding the learner to plan and draft the resume for feedback from me. My typical lesson is 1 hour. I have been teaching and guiding my clients for the last 30 plus years. My service is for adults (24 and above) who have a minimum of IELTS 5 in writing and who can speak and understand English. I have a PhD in Applied Linguistics from Australia and a MA in TESOL from the UK.
