About Sebastian
I am currently studying Financial Economics at City St George’s, University of London, having previously studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Leeds for two years. My academic background has given me a strong understanding of Maths, Chemistry and Physics, as well as experience applying these subjects to challenging problems.
I previously supported students as a chemistry peer mentor and tutor at Charterhouse. That experience showed me how much difference a patient explanation and encouraging environment can make. I enjoy breaking difficult topics into manageable steps and helping students become more confident, independent and comfortable asking questions.
I am approachable, reliable and committed to preparing carefully for each lesson so that every student receives support suited to their individual needs and goals.

My lessons are friendly, patient and structured, and are designed for students studying Maths, Chemistry or Physics at GCSE level and below. I begin by identifying the topics the student finds difficult, then explain the underlying ideas clearly and work through questions step by step. I use personalised practice, past-paper questions and regular checks for understanding, adapting the pace and teaching style to each student.
Lessons typically last one hour and can focus on strengthening subject knowledge, completing homework, preparing for exams or improving exam technique and confidence.
I studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Leeds for two years and previously worked as a chemistry peer mentor and tutor at Charterhouse. I achieved an A in A-level Physics, Bs in A-level Maths and Chemistry, and three grade 9s with predominantly grade 8s at GCSE.
