About Filippo

My aviation journey began in 2014 when I joined the military academy with the goal of becoming a military pilot. From that moment, I was captivated by aviation and committed myself to the path of becoming a professional pilot. Over the next 11 years, I pursued this passion relentlessly, obtaining my first licence in 2016 and completing all necessary courses by 2019. In parallel, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Milan in 2022, gaining a deep understanding of aircraft design and engineering principles. This academic foundation provided me with the technical knowledge essential for navigating the complexities of aviation. I then completed an MSc in International Business and Management in London, combining technical expertise with strategic and commercial insight. After 2019, I was recruited in Italy as an Engineering Specialist, where I quickly progressed to the engineering team, applying a unique combination of pilot knowledge and engineering skills. This role deepened my technical expertise in aircraft maintenance and operations while providing invaluable insights into airline operations and commercial aviation standards. I am currently serving as an Engineer. Throughout my journey, I have faced and overcome numerous challenges. Along the way, I discovered a genuine passion for mentoring and teaching. I have since combined my aviation expertise with education, providing private and classroom instruction to countless students, fostering both technical skills and a love of learning.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach focuses on true understanding rather than rote memorisation. Having completed theory training with both the UKCAA and EASA, I understand the importance of building confidence in navigating course content and approaching exam questions effectively. My goal is to foster this confidence by creating a relaxed, engaging, and supportive learning environment, paced to suit you. Drawing on my experience as both a Student Commercial Pilot and Aerospace Engineer, I incorporate practical examples, real-world insights, and comprehensive notes from my hands-on experience to make each session informative, relevant, and engaging.
