About Eric
Here's the reality: if you're studying for the LSAT or the GRE, chances are you are studying by yourself most of the time, and maybe only have a tutor for 20% of the time. My goal is to help my students develop more effective study habits, stronger understanding of their own strengths and weaknesses, and better ability to grow their progress during that other 80%. My genuine hope when I work with a new student is that they stop coming back to me because they have gotten so good at independent learning, they simply do not need me anymore.
I've been in the business for 8 years, and have plenty of great reviews to back up my experience.

My name is Eric, I got a 180 on the LSAT, and a 170/170/6 on the GRE. And I believe you can too.
As a former teacher and long-time tutor, I have a passion for education and how we can best teach. In college the most interesting classes to me were always the ones that focused on how to teach, rather than the content to be taught. Instructing and teaching a person is a deeply personal, deeply humbling experience, as no two students face the same challenges, or possess exactly the same strengths. This philosophy underscores my tutoring practice: everything should be personalized to the student’s needs and learning styles.
I don't do classes, group sessions, or lectures. Instead I focus on 1-on-1 guided practice with a student in order to help identify what specific strategies and learning methods help them to grow. With the tests I teach, one mistake people often make is simply following an online course or generalized tutor/instruction plan. I made this mistake when I first started studying too, it's an easy one to make. But to reach your highest potential, you will need individualized teaching to target your specific strengths and weaknesses, and that's what I provide.
