About Stella
I am a third year student at Oxford with teaching experience. I just really want to spread the love for my subject!
In terms of my experience - from the age of 14 I have consistently worked in instructing young people and adults, and am comfortable in leading them in a learning environment. In this time, I have worked as a Trampoline Coach, a Gymnastics Coach and a Paddleboard Instructor. I really enjoy working in a learning environment with young people and would love to do it more in an academic setting.

As an Oxford Undergraduate I have access to a number of resources which could help a student improve their writing, listening, reading and speaking skills.
My main focus would be on improving speaking skills - using film and other media as routes to open up discussion. I would hope to engage by students by discussing topics they are interested in.
Another key focus would be grammar and helping the student really understand the more difficult areas such as the subjunctive.
My lessons for GCSE students would be an hour - just enough time for the student to be fully immersed in the language, but not too long either.
