About Bianca

I am a second year French and Spanish student who has 8 years experience of applying and studying both languages.

I have previously worked as a French tutor to a group of 5 GCSE students helping them achieve B/A* at the end of their studies. To achieve this, I liaised with secondary school teachers to formulate a relevant lesson structure to supplement lessons taught in class. I taught writing, grammar and conversation in French. I have incorporated games in lessons including French bingo and guess who.

I have completed my TEFL training in China with Gotoco last year. I have experience teaching big classrooms of 30 students between the ages of 6 to 16. Using the structure I've learnt from TEFL, I structured and led lesson plans on English Literature, culture, history and trade. I also spent a week as a teacher’s assistant in a nursery school engaging students through games and nursery rhymes.

I was also a volunteering assistant in a charity program with KCL. I was responsible for translating English to Spanish for Latin American participants during formal presentations. I am also a mentor responsible for guiding and advising participants in their journey from GCSEs to A levels.

About the lesson

I personalise and structure my teaching lessons around the students' strengths and weaknesses in the target language. A single lesson will include speaking, listening and writing. I will also attach homework at the end of each lesson to test the level of the student's understanding for the following lesson. If interested, I will also incorporate a lesson on the history, culture, literature and art of the target language.

The students' learning development will be tested weekly and a monthly/quarterly report will be written to best inform the parent of the students' achievements and progress.

Details

I will be charging £16 p/h for one to one sessions with a student.
If there is more than one student, I can offer a discount and charge £25 p/h for 2 students and £30 p/h for 3 students.
For pack lessons I will be offering 5 hours for £80 and 10 hours for £160.
