About Maria
I am ready and glad to help all of you! I believe that everybody is able to be successful. I myself wasn’t the most attentive student up until seventh grade when I was able to discover my confidence, and I was also the student of a tutor. That experience inspired me and my teaching plan—to help with homework and answer questions in an engaging, insightful way. As a French Education student, I am constantly looking for ways to harness experience, help students succeed in their studies and feel good about what they know—something I wish I had more of in my younger years.

I am very patient and engaging with students. I take a look at their homework with them and provide them with a natural environment where they can ask me questions and learn hands-on, especially with younger kids. I make sure to look over their class material, and throughout the time I am with them, I will explain using different methods that may be of interest to them, whether it is reading, making a tune to jog memory, or using anecdotes to engage my student. My goal is to help them succeed at assessments and be confident in the process leading to the success. My classes are suitable for all kids grades 1-9, whether it is for French, English or even math.
