About Maeva

I am currently pursuing a bachelor of sciences in International Relations at the LSE. Originally from France, I obtained my french Baccalaureate Option Internationale at the Ecole Active Bilingue Jeanine Manuel. Mastering french and english at a bilingual level, I wish to share this cultural knowledge with interested students. Having also learned German to a B1 level, my personal experience as a student in different languages provide me with a wide scope of teaching methods. Furthermore, during a voluntarism trip in Nepal, I taught English to students in a local primary school as well as supported students in their studies at the local learning center.

About the lesson

I can adapt to the specific aims and needs of the student.
I seek to personalize my lessons in order to render the learning process captivating and engaging.

I believe a necessary factor in learning a language is practice. Thus, in addition to a review of foundational grammar lessons, if needed, I propose to hold discussions about personally interesting topics with my student in order to enhance speaking skills by building confidence in and quality of expression as well as expanding vocabulary. Moreover, regarding reading abilities, I offer to decrypt texts, once again centered around the student's center of interest, along with analyzing its substance with a following questions/answer discussion.

In-between the lessons, I provide further resources and home-exercises in order to render the classes more engaging and effective, as well as allowing the student to develop his/her writings skills in producing texts according to the students level that I review and provide feedback on.

All levels and ages are welcome. Curiosity to learn French is required!
