About Sofia

I have 10+ years experience and my priority is always to make sure I adapt my teaching to the student rather than them having to adapt to my methods. I find it's the most efficient way for people to learn french quickly and with a solid foundation.

About the lesson

I have a postgrad degree in french literature, 7 years experience tutoring newcomers and anglophone workers in Montreal, and 4 years working in after school french immersion with kids. My lessons are always customized depending on the student's best way of learning, whether that's a very academic school like approach or an approach that's more immersed in day to day life (media, conversation, etc). All students get a lesson sheet each session and homework if they so desire. The curriculum is divided into modules and we go over the whole module at the end of each one, as well as incorporating things we've learned constantly throughout written and conversational exercises so that the student learns without needing extra study time.

I've worked with kids in primary school and am very familiar with the current curriculum. I've also worked with adults needing to pass the DELF and TEF for immigration purposes and I'm also familiar with the requirements for both.
