About Marie

I believe that every student has the ability to learn and improve when given the right support and encouragement. I strive to create a welcoming, patient, and respectful learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace.

Whether your goal is to improve your grades, better understand challenging concepts, or simply feel more comfortable with French, I will work with you toward your goals, one step at a time. My priority is to help you make meaningful progress while making learning a positive and encouraging experience.

About the lesson

My approach as a tutor
I start by building on what you already know and what you feel comfortable with, gradually introducing new concepts at your own pace. I adapt my teaching methods to your individual needs and learning style to help you understand and retain new information in a way that works best for you. Whenever possible, I use everyday examples and real-life situations to make concepts easier to understand and more relatable.

What a typical lesson looks like
Each lesson begins with a clear, specific learning objective. We then work through the material step by step, using explanations, practical examples, and guided exercises as needed. Throughout the lesson, I ask questions to check your understanding and identify any areas that may need further clarification. We finish with a short summary or a quick review exercise to reinforce what you have learned.

What makes my approach different
I believe that learning is most effective when students feel safe, respected, and supported. I take sensory and emotional needs seriously, respect personal boundaries, and adapt my approach to help students learn without unnecessary pressure.

I also believe that building confidence is an important part of learning. My goal is to help students recognize their progress, feel more comfortable with the subject, and develop greater confidence in their abilities. For students seeking school support, I aim to help them strengthen their understanding, improve their study skills, and work toward better grades.

Who my lessons are for
I offer French tutoring for elementary and high school students. Whether you need help understanding grammar, improving your reading or writing skills, preparing for exams, or strengthening your overall French proficiency, I tailor lessons to your current level, goals, and individual needs.
