About Alexis
Hi! I’m Alexis, a French teacher from Champagne, France, and I’ve been teaching French to international students for over 8 years.
I love helping students go from “I understand French” to “I can actually speak French!” My lessons are relaxed, practical and adapted to your goals, whether you’re starting from scratch, preparing for an exam or simply want to feel more confident speaking.
I’m also a DELF-DALF examiner and a former professional guide and sommelier in Champagne. I’m passionate about French wine, gastronomy and cinema, and I love bringing these interests into my lessons to make French more alive and meaningful.

I am a French as a Foreign Language (FLE) teacher with over 8 years of experience teaching French to international students, from beginner to advanced levels (A1 to C1). I also work as a DELF-DALF examiner, which allows me to help students develop the specific skills needed for French language examinations.
My teaching approach is communicative, practical and adapted to each student. I believe that learning French should not only mean studying grammar, but also learning how to understand, speak and interact naturally in real-life situations. I use authentic documents, conversations, role-plays, listening activities, vocabulary work and targeted grammar exercises depending on the student's needs and objectives.
A typical lesson begins with a short conversation or activity to activate previously learned language. We then work on a specific language objective through a combination of speaking, listening, reading or writing activities. I finish the lesson by reviewing key points and giving the student practical material or exercises to continue learning independently.
What sets me apart is the combination of my teaching experience, my knowledge of French language examinations and my background in French culture. I am originally from the Champagne region and have also worked as a professional guide and sommelier, welcoming visitors from all over the world. I can therefore bring French culture, everyday language and authentic situations into my lessons.
My lessons are suitable for complete beginners, university students, professionals, travelers and anyone wishing to improve their French. I teach students from A1 to C1 and can adapt lessons to general French, conversation, academic needs, professional communication or DELF/DALF preparation.
