About Brighton

I'm passionate about teaching because people always perform better when they have a thorough understanding of what they're doing. I studied French for 8 years during high school and college. I was a peer tutor in undergrad for 2 years and a private tutor for an additional 2 years. After completing a College Reading & Tutoring Association (CRLA) training course on the responsibilities of a tutor, I have applied these skills to create a meaningful experience in each session.

About the lesson

My goals are to enhance students' confidence in their academic abilities and improve their overall class grade. I am a patient, encouraging tutor and I adjust my teaching style to cater to an individual's needs. I focus on refining a student's strengths and building upon their weaknesses. I work with high school and college students enrolled in French courses. Most of my sessions are spent walking through homework. For exams/quizzes, I dedicate sessions to covering study guides and extra practice problems.
