About Noah
Hello! I am Noah - college student with background in both mathematics and technology - and I’ve tutored students in math within the range of grades 6 through 12.
I always consider each individual student and how I can meet that particular set of needs. My goal is for each student to feel comfortable within the learning environment - and to reach their individual educational goals.
Whether assisting with homework or exams, or simply seeking to better understand a given subject altogether - I can help each student reach their goals. I’m looking forward to working with you!

My Approach to Math Tutoring
My overall mission is to take abstract numbers and problems and make them logical for students - while also giving them that confidence in math that they perhaps do not have. I do not focus on teaching students how to memorize math problems but instead offer middle and high school students the knowledge of the underlying concepts within math - allowing them to face any problem independently.
️ Teaching Methods & Techniques
Certain methods used with students have indeed provided notable improvements in terms of confidence levels and the ability to master the concepts taught. These methods include:
The use of a “I Do, We Do, You Do” approach whereby I present a problem to the student, we do subsequent problems together, then the student faces similar problems independently.
Solving problems together while also reviewing any mistakes made by the student on those problems.
Breaking complex problems into separate, scannable steps - vital for even the youngest minds grasping necessary information to solve each problem.
️ A Typical Lesson Plan
Each lesson is highly structured - allowing for students to intensely focus on the content yet minimizing any stress regarding academics in general:
Warm-up for five minutes and a problem from the last lesson to access appropriate memories regarding that topic
A fifteen-minute discussion that covers the main concept and any new formula needed in problems
A twenty-five-minute discussion of various problems together - with focus on mathematical logic required for each problem
A fifteen-minute period wherein the student completes one final problem independently - to show mastery of the topic
What Sets Me Apart
Beyond simply teaching students the concepts within math and providing problems that allow them to practice these aspects of the subject matter, I also feature additional elements to ensure each student feels comfortable within my classroom:
Patience and understanding for any concepts being struggled with - yet direct about fixing bad calculation skills
Accommodating each student’s own way of learning - some are visual thinkers while others require contextual problems regarding specific subjects like sports or games
Who the Lessons Are For
These lessons are targeted towards specific ages and subjects:
Targets both middle school (grades 6-8) as well as high school (grades 9-12) subjects like pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, algebra 2 and trigonometry - best suited for those who struggle with math, math anxiety or word problems.
Spotlighting Noah
Furthermore, I have specific adaptations for students like Noah who are also struggling with certain coursework in math. Noah’s lessons will focus on breaking up complex math equations into steps that can be easily understood by young minds while also translating to top grades on homework assignments he completes within school.
