About Andrew

I became hooked on sewing after the first series of Sewing Bee and began to do some short courses (after failing to teach myself using online videos) and then went on to College to do my qualifications. I sew most days, and have also taught myself to knit and crochet, although my passion remians for sewing.
I enjoy sharing my passion wth others and watching them grow in skills and confidence as they progresss.

About the lesson

I have a background in teaching and have been a sewing tutor for a number of years. I studied at Manchester and Burnley College.
I work with adult learners from absolute beginners with no experience, through to those with loads of experience but who need a recap or want to develop further.
I offer sessions from a couple of hours through to half and full day, depending upon what you need, and these are usually at your home.
I can teach a range of sewing techniques and skills, as well as assist with alterations and upcycling. I can teach pattern drafting and draping on the stand, as well as embroidery, machine andhand sewing, quilting/patchwork, soft furnishings, clothing and bag making.
