About Mia
Outside of teaching, I'm a former varsity swimmer during my university days and now a gold-medalist open-water swimmer. Being comfortable competing in the ocean brings me a lot of fulfillment and an exciting challenge. I'm also a professional mermaid! I perform at children's parties.

I've been a swimmer since I was 5 yrs old and I've been teaching swimmers for over 3 years now. I have experience working with a wide range of age groups, from toddlers to seniors, and I love helping each student progress and reach their goals.
I hold multiple certifications including National Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid, so you can trust that your safety is my top priority. My teaching style is about ensuring my students feel comfortable and confident while having fun in the water. I like to use positive reinforcement and encouragement to help my students overcome fears or hesitations about swimming. I also enjoy incorporating games and challenges into our lessons to keep things fun and engaging.
