About Jen
Becoming a belly dance teacher has been a meaningful part of my life journey since 2018. What began as a personal passion has grown into a deep-rooted love that inspires me every single day. Belly dance is more than just movement—it’s a beautiful expression of culture, confidence, and joy. I teach weekly in-person classes, where I guide students through the art of belly dance in a welcoming and supportive environment. In addition to teaching, I also perform regularly at a variety of community events, cultural celebrations, retirement homes, birthday parties, and more. Every performance is an opportunity to connect with people and share the beauty of this dance. My greatest joy is to see others light up through movement. Whether you’re here to learn, get active, or simply try something new, I invite you to join me and experience the joy of belly dance for yourself.

1. Welcome & Warm-Up (10 minutes)
• Light stretching to awaken the body
• Gentle head, shoulder, hip, and arm rolls
• Breathing exercises to connect with the body and relax
2. Technique Drills (15 minutes)
• Focused practice on key bellydance moves:
• Hip drops, lifts, and circles
• Chest lifts and slides
• Snake arms and hand movements
• Layering drills (e.g., adding arm work to hip movements)
• Shimmies (hip and shoulder variations)
3. Combinations & Flow (15 minutes)
• Putting technique into short, repeatable combos
• Focus on transitions, rhythm, and fluidity
• Introduction to musicality—dancing with the beat
4. Choreography or Improvisation Practice (15 minutes)
• Learn a short choreography or improv prompts
• Explore different music styles (traditional, modern, fusion)
• Build confidence in performing movements together
5. Cool Down & Closing (5 minutes)
• Gentle stretches to relax muscles
• Breathing and grounding exercises
• Positive reflection or group chat about progress and enjoyment
