About Louise
I’m a programming tutor with 6 years of hands-on teaching across Python, Java, C++, and pseudocode for Sec, O/IP, JC, A-Level, IB, and Year 1 undergrad modules. Over that time, I’ve mapped MOE, SEAB, IB, and university curricula inside out — from O-Level practical papers to JC H2 Computing, IB Paper 2 algorithms, and CS1010 fundamentals.
My lessons are built on patterns I’ve spotted across 6 years: where students lose marks in trace tables, why recursion feels alien, how data structures click only after visualization. I close those gaps with targeted analogies, scaffolded coding tasks, and exam-specific strategies.
I’ve worked with pure beginners writing their first loop and with JC students optimizing Dijkstra’s. I’ve also supported IB candidates through their IA and university freshmen tackling functional programming.
Six years taught me this: strong coders aren’t born, they’re trained through deliberate practice. I provide the training.

I teach programming as a craft, not a subject to memorize. For Sec, O/IP, JC, A-Level, IB, and Year 1 uni students, my lessons turn syntax into problem-solving superpowers.
We customize every class. Need Python for O-Level? We’ll automate tasks and smash practical papers. Taking IB HL CS? We’ll conquer OOP, databases, and your IA. Starting university CS? We’ll demystify pointers, complexity, and functional programming.
My approach is hands-on: we code together. I’ll explain concepts like linked lists or sorting algorithms using analogies, whiteboarding, and real-world examples. Then you apply them immediately building small tools, games, or algorithms from scratch.
Exams matter, so we drill with timed practices, error-spotting, and code tracing. But beyond grades, I coach you to think like a developer: plan before you code, test edge cases, and refactor messy logic.
Stuck on coursework or debugging at 11pm? You’ll have strategies to untangle it yourself. My students don’t just pass, they build portfolios, win olympiads, and walk into exams knowing they’ve solved harder problems than what’s on the paper.
