About Aoi

Hello my future students, I am Aoi, and I am a Japanese tutor based in Adelaide, South Australia or online. I am passionate about helping students grow and enjoy learning through supportive, engaging, and especially personalized lessons. I have experience in teaching kids English in Japan, and I specialize in supporting kindy to adult learners. My lessons are designed to be: • Fun and motivating • Clear and beginner-friendly • Adaptive to each student’s pace • Supportive and confidence-building I focus on creating many “I did it!” moments so students can feel proud, stay motivated, and naturally want to learn more. Kids’ Japanese Teacher | Bilingual in English & Japanese With my experience teaching kids’ English conversation in Japan, I provide lessons creating a comfortable environment where beginners can start without any worries by using both English and Japanese. It’s simply because I understand how children feel when learning a second/new language. I’ve personally experienced the challenge of learning another language, I value lessons that are gentle, fun, and easy to continue. I teach at each child’s pace and aim to create a learning experience where they can grow and fall even more in love with the Japanese language. In my lessons, I focus on helping children build as many “I did it!” moments as possible, allowing them to truly feel a sense of accomplishment. When children experience success, even in small steps, their confidence grows naturally. This confidence then leads to a genuine desire to learn more, which I believe is one of the most important elements in acquiring a new language. Rather than pushing them to study, I create an environment where they want to do it and enjoy learning on their own. By nurturing this independence, I aim to help children develop a long-lasting love for the Japanese language. I also arrange lessons for each one for their needs and goals, so please feel free to reach out to me and discuss what you are looking for.
