About Lucy
Hi! I’m Lucy, a 17-year-old high school student who loves helping younger students succeed. I enjoy making learning fun and easy to understand, especially in math, reading, and homework support. I’m patient, responsible, and enjoy explaining concepts in ways that make sense for each student.
I have experience helping siblings, babysitting, and interning/volunteering in classrooms, so I understand how to keep lessons engaging and effective. I’m available weekdays after school and weekends for online tutoring sessions.

I provide engaging and personalized lessons for elementary school students. These lessons focus on math, reading, writing, and homework support. My goal is to make learning enjoyable while helping each student build confidence and master all the key skills. Some of my teaching methods and techniques include using a step by step approach in order to break down concepts into easy to understand pieces. Another teaching method includes using lessons that are super interactive. This includes things like games, fun exercises and easy to understand examples in order to keep students interested. A typical lesson plan for me will include a quick review of previous material, an introduction to the new concepts, interactive games and practicing exercises, some Q&A's to ensure the student is comprehending, and then ending with a fun review as well as any homework support.
Something that sets me apart from other tutors is my experience working and interning in classrooms where I was able to work with both the students and teachers.
My lessons are for elementary school students who need help in math, reading, writing, science, or homework help. As well as for students who want a friendly and patient tutor to guide them through challenging concepts or even just keeping up with classroom learning.
