About Emma
I have been immersed in ballroom dance, on and off, for the last 13 years. In that time I have trained for and competed in pro-am and state competitions, choreographed and performed in five showcases, choreographed numerous wedding dances, introduced many classes of schoolchildren to ballroom and prepared them to perform, and coached many adults from beginner level to execute impressive high-level routines. Last year I became accredited as a Latin Instructor with Dancesport Australia.

Whether you are starting ballroom for the first time, preparing for your wedding dance, wanting some steps to try with your partner, looking for a new way to stay fit or just trying something new, I cater to whatever you are wanting and ensure you enjoy yourself along the way! My classes are all about making sure you are having fun and feeling comfortable!
I offer private lessons, lessons for you and a partner, and group lessons for as many people as you like!
Dances include the five International style Latin American dances:
- Cha Cha
- Samba
- Rumba
- Paso Doble
- Jive
Plus bridal waltz / the style of wedding dance of your choice.
The video below is one of my favourite choreographies, comprised of lots of different styles: Cha cha, samba, salsa, rumba, a little hip hop and some flips! I had been teaching these dancers for between 6 months and 2 years, and only two of them had some background in ballroom.
I am happiest when I am teaching dance, and I am extremely passionate about sharing this style with others, since it has brought so much joy to my own life!
