About Heather
I am an elementary school teacher in a French Immersion program; though I also have a 150-hour TESOLS (English as an additional language) certificate. I went to the University of Saint-Boniface, where I hold a bachelor in arts, as well as a bachelor in education. My major was English and my minor is French.

I teach the fourth grade, though I have experience teaching from kindergarten up to the eighth grade. I have also worked in fun EAL summer camps and I have my own younger siblings. I believe in learning through a balance of study and play. I am the teacher with classroom pets, art projects always on the go and really in-depth novel studies of books like Hana's Suitcase and Harry Potter. I believe every student has the ability to learn, they just need the right teacher to help them. I teach using a variety of traditional techniques, with many games and hands-on activities to enhance retention.

Cancellations received less than 48 hours in advanced will not be refunded or rescheduled. Cancellations received 7 days before the appointment time can be rescheduled. Travel fee will only be applied for addresses outside of Winnipeg or if there is a charge for parking (i.e. downtown apartments). The travel fee will vary between 5-10 dollars, depending on circumstances.
