About Kya

Hi, I’m Kya! I’m a friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic science student with a genuine passion for learning and helping others succeed. I currently study Applied Science and will soon be progressing to Forensic Science, a subject I have been interested in for many years because of its combination of science, investigation, and problem-solving.

Alongside my studies, I balance college, work, and extracurricular activities, which has helped me develop excellent organisation, communication, and time-management skills. I understand the pressures that students face because I have recently been through the same exams and coursework myself, so I can offer practical advice as well as subject knowledge.

I believe that learning should be encouraging rather than intimidating. Everyone learns differently, and I enjoy finding ways to explain topics that make sense to each individual student. My goal is to help students feel more confident in their abilities and realise that science is something they can succeed in.

Outside of academics, I enjoy staying active, spending time with family and friends, and continuously learning new things. I am a reliable, patient, and positive person who takes pride in helping others achieve their goals. Whether you’re aiming to improve your grades, prepare for exams, or simply feel more confident in science lessons, I am committed to supporting you every step of the way.

About the lesson

My tutoring sessions are tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style. I focus on breaking down complex scientific concepts into simple, easy-to-understand explanations, using examples, practice questions, and active recall techniques to build confidence and improve understanding.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and can be adapted depending on the student’s goals. I provide support with GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics, as well as BTEC Applied Science coursework, revision, and exam preparation.

I am a BTEC Applied Science student progressing to study Forensic Science. Through my studies, I have developed a strong understanding of scientific principles and effective revision methods, allowing me to help students improve both their knowledge and confidence.

My lessons are suitable for GCSE students and BTEC Applied Science students who would like extra support, exam preparation, or help with coursework and assignments.
