I approach my students with an individualized mentorship approach, coupled with patience, genuine care, and empathy. I believe that a significant part of grasping a difficult subject is developing the self-confidence to get creative and approach problems in new ways, in part by securing a fundamental understanding of specific concepts. My ultimate goal is to teach my students to teach themselves - as much as I enjoy working with them, I'll have done my job if I've put myself out of work.
I'm a very dynamic person, and I become enthralled watching others' eyes light up as they delve into something that inspires them. I find getting to know students as people, and then harnessing their strengths and working through their weaknesses, to be one of the most enriching things we can do not only for each other, but for the good of our society.
Currently, I am finishing my Bachelor of Education to become a fully-certified teacher in Ontario.
