About Dat

I’m an international student pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors). I taught myself programming at 14 and published a game at 16. I'm very passionate about these projects and would really want to share this enthusiasm with my students.

I later studied for Certificate IV in programming before pursuing my Bachelor's. Outside of engineering, I enjoy reading and have picked up an interest in psychology. Reading in this area has helped me become more self-aware, use strategies to boost learning, and develop a passion for teaching as well!

About the lesson

Game development offers a multitude of skills that will challenge kids' thinking in all areas. These skills will enable kids to develop technical thinking, abstraction, and systematic thinking while having fun!

I teach students of any experience level. We will begin with the basics in 3D modeling, LUA programming, graphics, and effects. This will slowly build up skills to program data storage systems, game systems, user interface coding, animation, and advanced effects for the game. I will provide students with the ability to turn any ideas into a working game! Students can even advertise it and make extra money on the side!
