About Eric
I am a native Spanish speaker and a recent Civil Engineering graduate from Imperial College London, soon to begin a PhD focused on sustainable water systems in Mexico City. I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Spanish and an A* at A-level, giving me strong familiarity with exam requirements and assessment criteria.
During my degree, I regularly engaged with academics and professionals in Mexico in Spanish, strengthening my ability to use the language in technical and professional contexts. Having grown up between cultures, I understand the nuances across different Spanish dialects and the diversity of cultures throughout the Spanish-speaking world.
I am passionate about making language learning engaging and meaningful, helping students build confidence in speaking, writing, and understanding Spanish. My aim is not only exam success, but genuine fluency and cultural awareness.

I offer 1–2 hour sessions tailored to each student’s level, goals, and learning style. My focus is on helping students acquire Spanish through meaningful use of the language, rather than simply memorising vocabulary and grammar rules. Lessons are built around students’ interests while remaining closely aligned with GCSE and A-level exam requirements.
I place strong emphasis on speaking and active use of Spanish, creating a supportive environment where mistakes are welcomed as a natural and essential part of progress. By combining structured exam preparation with real conversation and cultural context, I aim to build both confidence and genuine fluency.
