About Pedro
I have an MSci in Physics Imperial College and over 25 years' industry experience in analytical and technical roles.
Alongside my professional career, I have worked with young people through a summer camp and as a volunteer tutor with The Pimlico Connection. As a parent, including of an autistic child, I understand that every learner is different. I enjoy helping students build confidence, develop problem-solving skills and achieve their goals through patient, structured and supportive lessons.

My lessons are personalised to each student's current ability, confidence and goals. I begin by identifying strengths and areas for improvement, then create a structured plan to build understanding step by step.
I use a combination of clear explanations, worked examples, guided practice and exam-style questions. I encourage students to explain their thinking, helping them develop problem-solving skills rather than simply memorising methods.
For GCSE students, we focus on mastering key topics, improving exam technique and building confidence with increasingly challenging questions. For KS3 students, the emphasis is on developing strong mathematical foundations that prepare them for GCSE.
I also adapt my teaching for students with additional learning needs, including autistic learners, by using a calm, patient and structured approach. Every student learns differently, and I aim to make lessons supportive, engaging and paced appropriately.
I provide regular feedback so that both students and parents can see the progress being made, with the goal of building confidence as well as improving results.
