About Anna
Currently enrolled in a level 3 course of art and design 1st year and a part time apprenticeship with a local art gallery to help pay for work experience and to pay my supplies and so on. In my spare time I am a free lance artist with a few side businesses such as jewellery and pottery that I sell through instagram/etsy. I can give you useful tips to create a small successful business so that you can use these tools to help you in the future.

My teaching method is easy going, as I want to give the student the freedom to come up with concepts themselves, and develop their "niche'. Although I like a chilled enviroment I'm very stern on the amount of work that the students produce. For example you will learn to Chern out ideas in a limited amount of time then work into them with detail. You will find that when you produce lots of ideas you're able to choose between them and mix them up and get inspired. However if you are very precious about your work from the beginning you end up creating less. This is a very important skill to have especially preparing for art school.
If you are a new student, I will begin the lesson be getting to know you and your experiences within the subject. I will also expect you to bring some artwork so I have an idea on your skillset and you preferred mediums.
I will talk through what its like and what to expect when going into an art school/ college and the qualities you will need. As a lot of students are shocked with the independence and self motivation you need. Especially during recent condistions where students are having to work from home due to lockdown.
