I teach through theory and practice. Each lesson we learn new skills and techniques while working on a drawing or painting. I focus on developing the student's talent and imagination to reach full creative potential. Studying at the beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.
My teaching method is similar to a focused exploration class structure. I base my classes on both the basics of visual arts as well as my personal experiences. I approach a lesson with both an organized plan as well as with an open mind and flexibility. I am willing to adapt the lesson based on a student's individual needs.
I am easy to get a long with, and most people find me comfortable to be around. A typical class who be either at the Wetaskiwin Public Library or somewhere, were it is suitable for you. My teaching would be able to show the different ways to make learning fun.

If someone wanted to paint a picture, I would paint it myself first to write out the steps on how to do it, so then I can teach my student how to get to the finishing product. I would slowly teach my student tips and tricks on how to make their painting their own and make it so it shows a part of their personality in the painting to.
My teaching method is Modelling. I have a demonstration of task to students to make the process clearer. By imitating the model, students become aware of the procedures needed to perform the task or use the strategy. My classes are involve with lots of fun and enjoyment.
My teaching methods are divided between experimentation and technique. I believe it is incredibly important as a creative individual to give yourself the opportunity to make mistakes and messes, that is where majority of the masterpieces are developed.

Usualy i split in two groups students who paint from thoses who draw because the lessons and the requirements are not the same. I strongly suggess to thoses who wants to paint to take a least 6 months of drawing before, but it's not an obligation. We take 10 weeks maximum to execute a painting in a two hour session each week. But some students are faster.

I'm very open and easy going, especially with new learners. I enjoy the calm environment of no judgment. In the art world, there can be some discomfort in going out and trying new things, or even building on your current skill set. As a graduate of Visual Arts and Graphic Design, I understand how it feels to be creative in a world much less creative.
I realize not all people/ students learn in the same way or same time-frame, and this requires a teaching approach with flexibility, creativity and patience. I take great pride in my work, work well with others, and hold student learning and achievement to the core of my teaching practices.
I approach the student first needing to observe and ask them about their own personal learning skills, their strengths, and areas they want/need to improve upon. I also like to use skills that help retain new knowledge in your memory like the drill method especially in one on one tutoring to help learn a new subject or as a studying skill.

I approach instruction in a free form method, tailoring my lessons to what my students need based on their strengths and weaknesses. I will usually give some lessons on the fundamentals of drawing regardless of the skill level of the pupils in question.
A typical class would start with a 30-minute demonstration, followed by an assisted design laboratory set-up class(length dependent on student).
