About Laura

I started studying German at the age of 12 in the context of bilingual English education, which I entered at the age of 4, and curiosity about languages has always moved me. The richness of being able to read, think and express myself in several languages has undoubtedly motivated me to invest the necessary effort to learn them and make them my own. After living 9 years in Berlin –studying during 4 of them–, I have managed to feel bilingual in German and a large part of me, without a doubt, thinks and lives in this language.
Conventional German classes tend to follow very repetitive and uncreative schemes, leaving little room for free expression and real contact with the language and culture, so I propose an alternative. I focus my classes mainly around conversation and expression, touching on the topics of interest to my students and emphasizing pronunciation. Through associative and creative exercises, my goal is to make you forget the dictionary in order to learn to think in this surprisingly rich language that is German.
Of course and in summary, I consider that to internalize a language, it is necessary to spend hours speaking it.
I love working with children.

About the lesson
