About Ruby

Passion for music performance drives my approach to teaching guitar. Holding Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music, I bring technical skill, performance experience, and teaching expertise to every lesson. Lessons begin with foundational techniques such as posture, finger placement, chord transitions, strumming, rhythm, and tone, progressing to improvisation, phrasing, and composition. Music theory is incorporated practically, helping students understand and apply concepts in real music. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s pace, goals, and style, fostering confidence and creative expression. I emphasize technical mastery, expressive playing, and performance readiness to help students communicate emotion through music. Ear training, sight-reading, and performance exercises are included to develop well-rounded musicianship. Students explore genres like classical, jazz, rock, blues, and pop to broaden their musical understanding. Structured practice routines, feedback, and guidance help learners overcome challenges efficiently. Milestones are celebrated to reinforce progress and maintain motivation. I encourage improvisation, composition, and personal interpretation to help students develop a unique musical voice. Lessons balance discipline, technique, and artistic freedom for an engaging learning experience. Over time, students gain proficiency, confidence, and expressive artistry. Teaching guitar is more than instruction—it is mentorship, guidance, and inspiration. My ultimate goal is to help students play creatively, confidently, and authentically. Every lesson is an opportunity to cultivate skill, artistry, and lifelong musicianship.

About the lesson

Teaching is about inspiring possibility—and music is the perfect way to do it. As a guitar tutor with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music, I help students unlock their creativity and confidence. My lessons combine structure with inspiration, ensuring a balance between technique and artistry. I begin with the basics—finger placement, strumming, rhythm—and build toward mastery.

I use songs and exercises that make learning engaging and relevant. Theory is introduced gradually, showing how patterns and harmonies shape sound. My approach is patient, supportive, and tailored to each learner’s style. I emphasize ear training, improvisation, and emotional connection. I also coach students in stage performance and expression. I believe music is about storytelling, and I help each student find their voice within that story. My lessons are as much about personal growth as they are about skill. Every student leaves each class a little more confident and inspired.
