• When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

  I found that French is something I could excel in teaching. This happened at Brock University. I also love teaching children and seeing them improve.

• What makes you passionate about your subject?

  The French language is beautiful and dynamic. I would love to share it with other people, especially children.

• What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

  What I like most about tutoring is that I get to share my knowledge with young, developing people who are just starting out with learning the language. I find it very rewarding when I see the children get better at working with the language.

• Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

  I have had many fun French teachers until now, but I find working with the French language is exciting. It is very rewarding when I see the children improve on their knowledge, pronunciation, and reading. The Explore program made French fun to learn, and I did envy the teachers when I went there.

• What are your keys to success?

  My keys to success are perseverance, completing homework, and creating and interest for French in children. As long as my students complete what I ask them to do, at home or at the lesson, they will improve through time. In addition, if a child does not want to do the work, I can incorporate something they like into the work. This might include subject matter they enjoy so that they are more inclined to work.
