About Charlie

Hi, my name’s Charlie and I am a 26 year old graduate of music. I have been writing, producing, mixing and mastering music for the past seven years and have been playing guitar for the past 9. I started learning guitar when I was around 9 years old and continued playing until around the age of 12 when I started to focus more on school. I took up guitar again at the age of 18 and since then have played in bands, learned music theory and studied music at university. I am very happy to welcome people of any age to take up lessons with me so don’t worry if you think you’re too old to start playing the guitar. There is no age limit on picking up a new hobby!

About the lesson

If you choose to take up private lessons with me then I will teach you how to play your favourite songs, how to play the guitar efficiently and effortlessly, how to use music theory as a tool to be able to figure out the music you love and how to play with other musicians! Please reach out to me no matter what your ability is, I am eager to help you even if you have never picked up a guitar before. I graduated from Solent University last summer (2022) with a 2:2 in Music and Music Production. My method of teaching guitar can vary depending on the student as I understand everybody learns in different ways. My lessons are up to an hour long but if you have any requests for longer sessions then this can be arranged. My lessons are for people of all ages but are mainly aimed at beginner to intermediate players.
