About Amaan
Hi, I'm Amaan. I've just finished my GCSEs with seven grade 9s and two grade 8s, with the #1 grade in my school (and to the best of my knowledge, in all of Middlesbrough) and I'm starting A-levels this September. During my GCSE season and even before it, teaching my friends proper revision methods and helping them with their weaknesses made me realise how much I enjoy seeing first-hand an idea/topic finally click in their head, and seeing the joy on their faces having smashed their predicted grades - and having just sat the exact exams my students will be sitting, I know first-hand what actually helps versus what just "sounds good" in a textbook. I'm patient, easy to talk to, and more interested in building real confidence than just getting through the specification.

I tutor Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, and Further Maths for Key Stage 3 and GCSE. As I have just sat these exact exams, I know the current spec and exam board style inside out - including exactly where most students lose marks.
Lessons are built around what you actually need, whether that's exam technique, filling gaps, or building confidence from scratch. I'll put together a short plan after the first session so you know what we're working towards.
My devised method of teaching allows for both optimal learning and memory recall, through personalised revision timetables as well as in-depth analysis of potential weaknesses within their knowledge.
