About Emma
I am a grade 11 student in Gatineau who will graduate high school in June 2027. I am a hard-working student and I do not play when it comes to school. I know how important it is to your future for you to succeed in school. My math marks have always been high, and throughout the years I have 'tutored' my friends in math to the best of my abilities. I know how it feels to be frustrated because you can't grasp a topic or a subject, which is why I want to tutor; so that I can help others avoid what I have gone through- having late-night breakdowns trying to do homework that I couldn't understand, or knowing I had a test the next day with a teacher who didn't offer extra help. I have the exact same motivation for you to excel in math as you do, because I once was you.

My lessons can be catered to any age. And, whether visual, auditory, kinesthetic or something else, I know how to adapt to any learning style. In my years of high school and middle school, math has always been my favorite subject. I always have many different friends coming to me for help with their math work, so I have a solid ability to teach people by using their preferred learning style. I feel like I'm a great tutor because I'm still in school. I understand that it is frustrating and feels defeating when you just can't seem to grasp a topic- I experience the same feeling in some of my classes! Unfortunately, I have a few teachers who don't offer extra help, or I just can't seem to learn much from them, which is why I'm offering to tutor; because I know exactly how your child feels and I believe that I can get them set up for success.
