About Anthony
I am passionate about mathematics and dedicated to helping students excel through personalized tutoring services. With a strong background in math, including achieving 99% in AP Mathematics at the top-ranked school in Ontario, I bring proven expertise to every session. My accomplishments include honor rolls in the Canadian Intermediate Math Contest, Pascal Contest, and Fryer Contest, as well as being the school champion in the Canadian Intermediate Math Contest. I strive to inspire confidence and a deep understanding of math in all my students.

My teaching methodology and techniques:
I believe students learn best when math is visual, interactive, and engaging. Rather than simply memorizing formulas, I focus on helping students understand why concepts work. I often use hands-on tools such as building blocks, Rubik's Cubes, and other visual aids to explain ideas in a way that is easier for younger students to grasp. Every lesson is adapted to the student's learning style, ensuring they feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
A typical lesson:
Each lesson begins with a short review of the previous session to reinforce key concepts. We then work through new topics together, solving example problems while introducing important vocabulary and strategies. Once the student feels comfortable, they complete practice questions independently while I provide guidance and answer any questions. Before the lesson ends, we review any mistakes, summarize what was learned, and I assign a small amount of optional homework to reinforce the material between sessions.
What sets me apart:
As a Grade 9 student, I understand the challenges younger students face because I was in their position not long ago. I combine strong mathematical achievement—including a 99% final grade in Grade 9 pre-AP Math, School Champion in the Canadian Intermediate Mathematics Contest, and Honour Roll distinctions in multiple national math contests—with a patient and relatable teaching style. My goal isn't just to help students get the right answer, but to help them develop confidence, problem-solving skills, and an enjoyment of math.

My lessons are designed for students in Grades 2–7 who want to improve their understanding of math, increase their confidence, prepare for quizzes and tests, or get ahead in class. Whether a student needs extra support with homework or is looking for an additional challenge, lessons are personalized to match their goals and learning pace.
