About Dax
I am a grade 10 student, fast-tracking in math, and currently at the top of my grade 11 pre-calculus class. As both an advanced math student and a middle school basketball coach, I specialize in breaking down complex concepts into simple, actionable steps that middle schoolers can easily understand. I pride myself on being a relatable mentor who uses clear communication and real-world examples to help my students see immediate results in their schoolwork.

I help students learn math in ways that make sense to them, not just the same formula the teacher explains. A typical lesson plan would start by us going over what the kid is learning and struggling with at the moment. Then we will do a couple of questions on the subject. After they answer a couple of questions, I will explain where they went wrong and how they can fix it, focusing on making it as simple as possible. Then, at the end of the session, I will have the kids explain what they learned. What sets me apart from other tutors is relatability; kids are more likely to ask a question that seems obvious, but they don't understand to someone their own age, compared to someone 15 years older. My lessons are aimed at students in middle school to first year in high school.
